My name is Christian A. Binamira, I was born on January 09, 1987 at Sta. Misericordia, Sto. Domingo, Albay. My father's name is Rolando B. Binamira, a Mechanical Engineer, and my mother's name is Sabina A. Binamira. I have two sisters named Marianne Chris A. Binamira and Maria Christine A. Binamira. We live in Talisay St., Happy Homes subd., Tagas, Tabaco City.

When I was an elementary student, we lived in Sta. Misericordia, Sto. Domingo, Albay. I study in Maba Computer Oriented High School during that time. I received many awards during my elementary years like Best in Mathematics, Best in Computer, Best in Science and Technology, Most Cooperative and others. At the end of my primary education, I took entrance examination in Tabaco National High School and I passed the examination and later on I pursued my studies there.

We live in Tabaco City, Albay during my high school years, because it was very far from our home. We have house in Happy Homes Subd., Tagas, Tabaco City so we live there. I still remember that before classes begin, I injured my arms caused by an accident. Back then I was very nervous of my first day in the school (Tabaco National High School) because I do not know what will happened during my stay in this school. I meet many friends during my high school years. I became a member of The Philippine Red-Cross during my sophomore years. I also became chess player, unfortunately I lost many games because even though I played my best, there were still many players who played better than i did. I was chosen as The School Escort during my senior year stay in the school. I also became a candidate for Mr. Mathinik, and Intramurals. I took entrance examination at Mapua Institute of Technology, University of the Philippines, Far Eastern University, De La Salle University, Christ the King Seminary, Redemptorist Seminary, Brent Wood College of Asia., and Bicol University. I attempted to study in a Seminary to become a priest but my family hardly disagreed of my decision so I chose to study at Mapua Institute of Technology not only its name but also its prestige in the field of Engineering. I took up a scholarship in Philippine Geothermal Inc., and just received the result at the last week of May, 2003 and became one of the scholars in Philippine Geothermal Child Scholarship Program.

Aside from being away from my family, a lot of things changed when I became a college student. I noticed that the instructors are no longer concerned of their students. Its up to us if we want to pass the subject or not. I study hard to pass my subjects and to retain my scholarship. I just rent a room near the Mapua Institute of Technology because my relatives in manila are very far from school. I find it difficult to be away from my family because no one will help and control you except your self. I need to control my self in doing things like "gimmick" and those who'll influence me in a bad way during my stay in manila. I experienced having sleepless nights when a certain report is needed to be submitted the next day.

Now, I'm on my sophomore year here at Mapua Institute of Technology. My primary goal is to become an Engineer and have great and many job opportunities to come my way after pursuing my college education. I always keep in mind that I will not surrender and do my best to achieve my goals.
